On Thursday, May 26th, the Issues Committee of the White Plains Democratic City Committee (WPDCC) adopted a resolution regarding the 2011 killing of Kenneth Chamberlain Sr., at the hands of White Plains police and ongoing police-reform efforts.
“We urge the City to enter into a reasonable and adequate settlement with the Chamberlain family, in which the City acknowledges the officers’ culpability in the matter…” the resolution states.
On Tuesday, June 28th, WPDCC Issues Committee Co-Chairs Charlene Raynor and Evelyn Santiago and Secretary Allen Weintraub join Black Westchester to discuss the resolution and why they felt the need to adopt it 11 years after the Murder of Kenneth Chamberlain at the hands of White Plains Police.
