At a speech in in Philadelphia, Minister Louis Farrakhan announced that Philly native native Will Smith and his wife, Jada, donated $150,000 to the Oct. 10 event.
Farrakhan’s Facebook page read, “…the couple happily donated $150,000 to offset the cost of hosting the upcoming historic gathering!” The post also notes that the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star attended the first Million Man March in 1995.
Officials say the Justice…Or Else! March needs to raise nearly $2 million to function properly.
