On the People Before Politics Radio show, Officer Michael Hannon, who was assaulted by Assistant Chief Anne Fitzsimmons with a chair on September 22, 2011, said openly that the Department of Justice and the US Attorney needs to looking into the policies and practice of White Plains Police Department and how the District Attorneys office investigates police misconduct in Westchester County.
White plains Police Department is also the police department where police killed retired Correction Officer Kenneth Chamberlain Sr. when they responded to a life aide alert. Police officers was heard on audio recording calling Mr. Chamberlain racial slurs.

Community Activist, Samuel Rivers who also has history with the District Attorney’s office blamed Democratic Chairman Reginald Lafayette for continuing to support Janet Difiore after so many questionable investigations of police brutality in Westchester that no officer have ever been charged.
