Westchester Antiracist Alliance Address “Race In Westchester.”

The below video is part of a series where members of the Westchester Antiracist Alliance and some of their Community Partners address “Race In Westchester.” The video contains five short interviews (more coming) with members of the Westchester Antiracist Alliance: Community Partners.

Interviewees include Doug DeCandia Gardener of SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) who discussed the “Food Apartheid in Westchester County,” NY, Ann Barringer Spaeth – Retired, a Community Organizer who discussed “Secure Detention is not an option for most Juveniles,” Sandy Bernabei, a Founding Member Antiracist Alliance discussed “How systems works to deliver unfair outcomes,” then Rev. Doris K. Dalton of the Westchester MLK Institute for Nonviolence discussed the Antiracist Framework in Education and WESPAC Director Nada Khader discussed the Racial Employment Gap.

Black Westchester shares the first part of this video series that was edited by Martin McDonald because we feel this is a discussion that needs to be had. Before we can fix the problem, we must first address and understand exactly what the problem is.
