The Ruff Ryder Screening for BET’s “Inside The Label”

You can feel the tremors in the air whenever the name is mentioned. The impact is unmatched in magnitude as well as depth. They represent a unified way of life that still grows till this day after over 20 years. I had the privilege of attending the screening for the reigning Empire, The Ruff Ryders, BET “Inside The Label” screening at Slate Bar & Lounge in NY last night and it was nothing short of epic! Founders of The Ruff Ryders were all in attendance, Darin “Dee” Dean, Joaquin ” Waah” Dean and Chivon Dean.

For those who are unaware of the incredible artists that belong to the Double R roster : DMX, The Lox, Swiss Beatz, Eve, Cassidy, Dragon, PK, Jin. Each and everyone having a major impact on the Hip-Hop industry. Other known celebrities that have passed through the label: the owner of the amazing Murder Inc. Mr. Irv Gotti and Mr. Harlem World himself Mase.

The BET docu-series did an excellent job of depicting the inner workings of the label. Allowing them to present a vivid recount of their experiences from beginning to now. They celebrated in true Double R form with lots of love and support around them from family and friends. All of the artists are not only working on incredible projects, on tour, TV bookings, etc, but there’s an even larger wave coming on a completely new level. From what I’ve been blessed to witness, the best is yet to come! Enjoy some photos from last nights event below!
