The Judge Ada Medina Interview
On January 11, 2022, Judge Ada Medina was sworn in by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano to fill a seat left vacant by former City of Yonkers Court Judge Tom Quiñones who has moved on to Supreme Court Justice.
“This was an appointment that I was watching as I felt it needed to be a Latino/a who got appointed. There was rumbling going around,” BW Latino Empowerment Columnist Lorraine Lopez shared. “To my delight and to the delight of the Latino community Mayor Spano appointed a Latina with experience, skills, and professionalism to the bench. What I love most is that she is from our Latino community. That’s so very important these days. What I also love is that she has compassion for all people and displays that. Judge Medina is running in the elections this year. So far unopposed and that’s a beautiful thing.”
Judge Medina appeared on the first hour of Episode 322 of the People Before Politics Radio Show, Sunday, March 20th, see the interview below.
