Shots Fired In Mount Vernon

Mount Vernon — A MVPD official tells Back Westchester that a call came in that shots were fired at 111 N. 3rd Avenue, at 11:19 PM Sunday night. According to the official, no one was hurt, and no property damage was reported.

Black Westchester received calls shortly after 11pm, Sunday from a resident of the August P Petrillo Apartments located at 110 N 3rd Ave, informing us she heard 8 rapid fire gunshots at about 11:08 PM. The lifelong resident could tell what direction the shots came from believing they came from Gramatan Avenue as she had heard several times coming from patrons of the former adult entertainment establishment Sue’s Rendezvous, a shuttered erotic dance club that closed in March after 45 years.

The Mayor’s office did not respond to our request for comment.
