State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins, 35th SD, Senate Democratic Leader.

In an already crowded democratic primary to unseat Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino who is running for his third term, Could State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins be next to throw her hat in the ring for the County’s Top Seat?

If this is true, Stewart-Cousins (35th Senate District) would be challenging County Legislator Ken Jenkins (Yonkers), State Senator George Latimer (37th Senate District), and possibly Assemblyman Tom Abinanti (D- Greenburgh/Mt. Pleasant) who has yet to make up his mind if he is running, in the upcoming Democratic Primary

While BW hasn’t been able to confirm whether or not the Senate Democratic Leader was running for County Exec and we were unable to find any news outlet reporting this move, we found the news posted on the Facebook Group, Yonkers Newswire, Sunday night, labeled ‘Political Rumor.’

While this appears to be no more than another political rumor, stay tuned to Black Westchester for more on this developing story!
