STATE ASSEMBLYMAN: I DID NOT ENDORSE SEGERRA FOR COMMON COUNCIL

PEEKSKILL UNITED MAILER FEATURING ENDORSEMENT BY ASSEMBLYMAN RODRIGUEZ WAS FALSE

ASSEMBLYMAN ISSUES STATEMENT SAYING
HE DID NOT MAKE ANY ENDORSEMENT IN PEEKSKILL PRIMARY

Peekskill, NY – Democratic Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez has issued a statement saying that he has not made any endorsements for the upcoming September 12th Peekskill Democratic Primary. In a mailer issued by Luis Segarra, a Democrat running on the Conservative and Republican lines, along with his team, Peekskill United, a statement was made that Segarra had been endorsed by Assemblyman Rodriguez, which in fact is not the case.

When Assemblyman Rodriguez heard about the false statement using his name to mislead voters about his support of Segarra, he quickly issued an official statement to clear up the matter

“While Luis Segarra has been a long-time friend and supporter, I did not endorse anyone in the Democratic Primary for common council in the City of Peekskill,” said Rodriguez in his statement.

The fake endorsement aimed to mislead voters was also published on social media.
