Rob Stapleton Rocks New Rochelle – Comedy Thursday At Mangoville

The Mangoville Restuarant, Bar & Grill Expansion!!!

Rob Stapleton & Marcus Banks [Black Westchester]

New Rochelle — Mangoville Restaurant, Bar & Grill is doing it bigger and better. The Caribbean Restaurant has expended and kicked things off Thursday night with the Comedy Thursday hosted by Marcus Banks. Thursday headliner was Rob Stapleton. You’ve seen him on HBO’s P-Diddy presents The Bad Boys of Comedy, Jamie Foxx’s Laffapoolooza and Martin Lawrence’s 1st Amendment. 2008, his first Half Hour Comedy Central Presents special just to name a few and he stopped by Mangoville’s Comedy Thursday to share his hilarious, energetic comedy style, leaving everyone in stitches.

Mangoville Restaurant Bar & Grill located at 134 North Avenue in New Rochelle literally completed their expansion (leasing the former nail salon next door, fixing it up and knocking down the wall to double the floor size) minutes before showtime. It’s a good thing they did because even with the new larger space, it still was practically standing room only. DJ Bless Tha Child rocked the crowd on the one’s and two’s. (see highlights from the evening in the video below).

Rashaun Reese who is an actor and writer, known for BET’s Comicview (1992) and Gold Digger Killer (2007) was also a featured comic Thursday night. Coming straight outta East Orange, New Jersey, Rashaun showed the Mangoville crowd why he is one of the fastest, rising comedians on the circuit today. And as usual New Rochelle’s Young Gunner of Comedy, Marcus Banks held it down as the host and showed no matter who else appears on that stage, Mangoville is his house.

Marcus also blessed the crowd with an appearance from 13-year-old KJ who performed Rock Wit’cha by Brown Brown. The young 914 representer won at The Apollo three times in a row.

Marcus Banks host Comedy Thursdays at Mangoville every first Thursday of the month.
