“And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.” Deuteronomy 26:11
If you would take a moment and examine all of the good things that the Lord has poured into your life you would realize that you are blessed. Many times you focus on the things you do not have instead of focusing on the things that God has already done in your life. The immediate need or want becomes more important than the blessings you have already received. Instead of worrying about what you do not have yet, you should rejoice and praise God for the blessings that are already yours.
The Scripture reminds you: “We shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord our God has given unto us, and unto our house, and even the stranger among us.”
I encourage you — rejoice in all of the good things the Lord has done in your life. Rejoice and praise the Lord for the place where you live, rejoice and praise the Lord for the food that you have to eat, rejoice and praise the Lord for all of the ways that He has already made for you and doors that He has opened for you. You have so much you can rejoice and praise the Lord for, because the Lord has been good to you. When you can rejoice in the Lord for the good things that He has done and for all of the blessings that He has placed in your life and in your family’s life, you will not have time to worry about things that you cannot change.
Since God has blessed you before, you can rest assured and be confident that He will bless you again. I have no doubt that the Lord has greatly blessed me and although there are some blessings that I am still expecting, I can still rejoice in the great things the Lord has done in life of me and my family. Since I am rejoicing in my blessings I have no doubt, “It’s My Year to Get My Thing from My God!”
