unnamed (4)

Beginning on September 9th through September 11th, people of all ages will join together for 9/11 Serve + Remember to honor those lost on September 11th, including the 111 men and women from Westchester, by reaching out in caring acts of volunteerism. Join hundreds of volunteers whose actions will feed the hungry, provide live-saving blood, bring dignity to those less fortunate, mitigate environmental damage, nurture early literacy and more.

Families, individuals and business groups are encouraged to register today through one of the available opportunities and to honor the lives of those lost through these individual acts of service.

Westchester County’s formal 9/11 memorial ceremony will take place Sept. 11 beginning at 7 p.m. at “The Rising” at the Kensico Dam. The public is invited to attend both events.

Detailed information is available at and early registration is encouraged.

The three-day series of community-action projects are coordinated by Volunteer New York!  Visit or call 914.948.4452 for more information.
