Topic: The Future of Mount Vernon – Part One

Fresh off the winter hiatus, Black Westchester kicks off 2022 with a discussion on the future of Mount Vernon with the Mayor and the New Look Mount Vernon City Council on the first show of the year. Will we finally see an end to the long-standing Civil War in City Hall? Can the city of Mount Vernon turn a page and move forward and return to a sense of normalcy? Could this be a watershed moment -a turning point, the exact moment that changes the direction of Mount Vernon politics? Stay tune and see what our new elected officials have to say on the matter. Residents will be watching with much anticipation and expectation. They may be no way to answer all the questions in this one show, but one thing is for certain, they will not be able to do it alone, the residents of the City of Mount Vernon are going to have to step up to the plate and be a part of the change they want to see. This is the first installment in the series, The Future of Mount Vernon!

One of the ways the residents of Mount Vernon can get involved and stay informed is attending or watching the city council meeting. For a list of Council Meetings in 2022, click here. You can sign up for digital updates from the City of Mount Vernon at www.cmvny.com.

In future installments of our Future of Mount Vernon series, look forward to a BW public forum with Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard, where we will talk in more detail of about the future of Mount Vernon, A forum of the DOJ Investigation of the MVPD and City of Mount Vernon and an interview with our new Comptroller Darren Morton and much more.
