Nancy Khader-Maldonado (Mother of Jonathan) Breaks Her Silence
A Black Westchester/ Latino Empowerment Exclusive
Nancy Khader-Maldonado breaks her silence and exclusively talks to Black Westchester about the killing of her son, Jonathan by members of the Greenburgh Police Department. Up to now, this has gone relatively unknown even here in Westchester. Check out the video below and hear Jonathan’s mom tell you his story in her words.
Jonathon Maldonado, 21, was tased and slammed to the ground by Greenburgh police officers and went unconscious while being detained, Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Two years later the New York Attorney General’s Office decided not to criminally prosecute Greenburgh police officers in connection to the death of Jonathan Maldonado, much to the disappointment of his family.
After the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officers, and the national protest, Nancy decided to have a rally for her son, Sunday, June 7th and agreed to appear on People Before Politics and tell her story to keep her sons name alive as the family continues in the quest for justice.
While we are protesting for those killed across the country like George Floyd let’s not forget those who were killed by law enforcement here in Westchester. Say His Name: Jonathan Maldonado!
