Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center, Inc (MVNHC) announces the appointment of Dr. Nicholas Cicchetti as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Dr. Cicchetti has served on the MVNHC Board of Directors since 2001.

Dr. Cicchetti has focused on serving the community throughout his esteemed and varied career in the public and private sectors. As a medical professional, Dr. Cicchetti served as a staff podiatrist at MVNHC for eight years. He also maintained a robust private practice in Mount Vernon and the Bronx and was Chief of Podiatry in the Department of Surgery at Mount Vernon Hospital.
Retired from his medical practice, Dr. Cicchetti is now focused on improving the integrity of our public infrastructure. He presently serves as a Senior Water Engineer with the City of Yonkers, overseeing the safety of our public water systems. Dr. Cicchetti has served as a Deputy and then Commissioner of the Fire Department of Mount Vernon. He has worked with the HIV and STD population in the City of Mount Vernon as an HIV/STD Service Coordinator and was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Mount Vernon.
In addition to his new role as MVNHC Board Chairman, Dr. Cicchetti also serves as the current Board Chairman of The Wartburg Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Wartburg Adult Care Community in Mount Vernon.
