Just in case you were one of those who weren’t able to make it to the Wartburg and you missed the screening at one the satellite locations, here is the Mt. Vernon, NY Democratic Primary Mayoral Debate Forum that took place of the Wartburg campus on Tuesday, August 25, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The six mayoral candidates who participated were incumbent Mayor Ernest D. Davis, former Mayor Clinton I. Young, Jr., Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson, Comptroller Maureen Walker, City Councilman Richard Thomas, and City Councilwoman Deborah Reynolds. The Westchester County Homeowners’ Coalition (WCHC) sponsored this civic event in concert with several community organizations, including: The Mount Chamber of Commerce; the Fleetwood Neighborhood Association; Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church; Oakwood Heights Homeowner’s Association; Chester Hill Park Neighborhood Association; Lorraine Terrace Condominiums and Fleetwood Residents.
This was the second of three mayoral debates, there will be a third and final debate, Thursday, August 27, at Dazzles Restaurant and Lounge (130 South 4th Avenue) before the primary.
