Music Spotlight: God Did Remix by JCA

White Plains native, JCA releases his latest freestyle, God Did off the DJ Khaled titled track off his thirteenth studio album, feat. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend & Fridayy. When asked what inspired the freestyle, JCA shared with Black Westchester;

The night that my younger brother passed away, I walked into the ER to find my mother clutching his four children in her arms, and praying through tears. They kept telling her that she would not be given custody, and their mother was in a coma. Police officers and Social Services workers had formed a tight circle around her. Their plan was to snatch them all away into foster care. As I intervened, their panic and disbelief erupted in the waiting room. They huddled in quietly together, each CPS worker pulling out a cell phone, as they began to frantically call every supervisor and case manager they could name. As they bickered wildly, but quietly amongst each other, I overheard: “Who did he say he was?”, “Did you know about this?”, “Why didn’t they tell us?”, “I didn’t know he even had a brother…”

I then turned to my wife and said quietly, “God did.” [I should have said it in DJ Khaled’s voice] #Goddid
