Rev. Edward Mulraine Announces His Candidacy for the 36th Senate District

Mount Vernon — On the steps of Mount Vernon City Hall, Reverend Edward Mulraine, pastor of Unity Baptist Tabernacle officially announces his candidacy for the 36th Senatorial District, Sunday afternoon. Rev. Mulraine is running for the Senatorial Seat, Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson announced Friday, she is vacating to join the Cuomo Adminstration.

While he has been making the rounds the past month or so, on Sunday, April 24th, Rev. Edward Mulraine, officially announced his candidacy for the New York State 36th Senatorial District seat.  Mulraine made his announcement at three locations: on the steps of Mount Vernon City Hall at 1:00 P.M.; in Co-op City at 135 Einstein Loop in the Bronx at 2:00 P.M. and in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, 4101 White Plains Road, at 3:00 P.M.

Those accompanying Mulraine during the Mount Vernon announcement included County Legislator Lyndon Williams, Mount Vernon pastors Troy DeCohen (Mount Vernon Heights Congregational Church) and Bishop C. Nathan Edwers (Friendship Worship Center), Delia M. Farquharson (former Mount Vernon City School Board Trustee), Janice Duarte (2015 & 2017 City Council Candidate), Former Mayor Clinton Young and Damon K. Jones (Blacks in Law Enforcement of America, NY Rep) who all publicly pledged their support of Rev. Mulraine.
