Mt Vernon’s Inaugural Film Festival
The Mount Vernon Film Festival 2014 -Where Entertainment Begins
The Mount Vernon Film Festival (MTVFF) which takes place Thursday, September 25 – Sunday, September 28th will showcase extraordinary films from both independent and established filmmakers, emerging and aspiring artists and directors that integrate different media formats to produce quality films.
Monday, September 22nd the City’s Mayor, various community leaders and Black Westchester emerged upon the front steps of The Dole Center, joined Osiris Imhotep (founder of MTVFF) and Darin A. Kent (Greater Centennial Film Festival) for a press conference to show their support for this unique cultural arts iniative.
The MTVFF kicks off Thursday night with red carpet and VIP reception going into an exclusive screening of The Equalizer starring Mt. Vernon native Denzel Washington.
The Mount Vernon Film Festival is an initiative of The People’s Film Festival/ The People’s Media Music & Arts Foundation Inc. – a non-profit organization whose objective is to promote awareness on independent music, media and art accross the globe while encouraging those to develop a greater appreciation and understanding for cultural diversity in film.
