Singer Melba Moore Talks To BW About Why She Supports Andre Wallace
BW caught up to Tony Award Winner, 4X Grammy Nominee, Melba Moore, best known for her cover of the Bee Gee’s single, ‘You Stepped Into My Life’ released on her self titled album on Epic Records in 1979. The track first released by the Bee Gee’s off their 1976 album, ‘Children Of The World’ and as the b-side of their single, ‘Love So Right’ was Moore’s biggest hit.
In the brief exclusive phone interview, days before the golf outing, Moore discusses how André Wallace ‘Stepped Into Her Life, and helped her get her career back on track in a difficult time of her life. Wallace who is running for City Council is best known in Mt Vernon as a developer and contractor for his work putting Mt, Vernontes to work in the construction industry and as the owner of the only construction training facility in Mt. Vernon at The Embassy on First, (28 East First Street). She share a side of Wallace most never knew much about as a songwriter/producer and indie label owner.
Melba Moore came to Westchester in support of André Wallace’s bid for Mount Vernon City Council, Monday, July 13th, at his golf fundraiser at Hampshire Country Club located at 1025 Cove Road in Mamaroneck.
