Mayor Thomas Calls For Investigation Of AG Schneiderman
City of Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas is calling for an immediate investigation into former New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, amidst breaking allegations that he physically abused four women. Shocking reports claim that Schneiderman, once viewed as a champion for the “#MeToo” movement, committed various forms of abuse to four women, including striking, choking, slapping, and the use of racial slurs.
After we released our story about A Schneiderman resigning and reached out to Mayor Thomas for a quote, he released the following statement:
“Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has disgraced his office with shocking behavior. I commend the four women for having the courage to come forward and reveal his misogynistic, racist and abusive nature. Resignation cannot be allowed to cover up the facts. It is now up to law enforcement to decide if criminal prosecution is warranted.”
