Yonkers ONE Community…
I wanted to take another opportunity to say thank you for all of your support from the day we announced until the moment of the last vote that was casted. Although we weren’t victorious, the victory and win is recognized by the way we ran our campaign. YOC’s campaign mission placed integrity, transparency, and leadership back into political spaces. All of YOC should be proud.
As I said at my concession speech, this is only the beginning. We have a lot of work to do. We are now in a better position to challenge our leaders to improve our educational system, ensure housing affordability and sustainability, provide economic development opportunities that will benefit all of Yonkers and address public safety that improves quality of life for all of us. So, as we continue to move forward in crafting our YOC agenda we can not faint or fall back. Let’s continue the momentum.
Finally, I want to say thank you to the YOC team, all of the volunteers, supporters, the faith communities that joined in, each campaign donor, every kind word, and prayer that was extended. I will never forget your acts of support, love, and abundance.
