Lyndon Williams Addresses Water Commissioner Anthony Bove Claims County Hasnt Released Funds In Memorial Field Renovation
Westchester County Board of Legislators (WCBoL) Major Whip Lyndon Williams publicly denounced Water Commissioner Anthony Bove’s claims delays in Memorial Field renovation are due to county not releasing funds, Saturday morning via his Facebook page.
Williams is calling for a full accounting in where funds released in 2010 have been spent. We are in the process of setting up an official interview with Mr. Williams after the Labor Day holiday weekend in our continued effort to get to the truth in the delays and decay of Mount Vernon’s Memorial Field.
It’s time for all elected and appointed officials, who have in the past been intimidated from speaking the truth, to come together and put an end to the outrages perpetrated by this power-mad mayor. Williams and Thomas have made a start, vindicating longtime advocate for the people, Deborah Reynolds. Who else will stand up?
Great job Richie Thomas! It’s refreshing to see someone who tells it the way it is.
Who has the authority to call for a full audit that examines not only where the money was spent but the bidding process as well?
It is truly an embarrassed to all residents of Mount Vernon that Memorial Field continues to deteriorate in clear public view of residents and visitors alike. Thank you Legislator Williams, for keeping a watchful eye on this mess.
Do you know anyone who loves tennis that much that it would take priority over the overall development plan?
….hmmm, makes you wonder!
Finally an answer! It’s dispicable how they allowed Memorial Field to fall by the waste side!
After watching this video it is clear to me that there are serious issues going on here! First the “water commission” is working on a city owned property without permit, is he on city time? And who authorized him to do anything on this site? Second he claims he “donates” his time and energy but he doesn’t explain where the money was spent? 3rd the complete disrespect for a city council man who has the authority to speak just was bullied by a sitting commissioner. A full investigation is needed and needed now. THANKS Lyndon Williams and Richard Thomas!
