Dear Dishonorable Mayor Thomas:
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. – Matthew 6: 1-4
I have watched you Mayor Thomas and I have heard your shallow words which lack wisdom or truth. I’ve seen many children like you who carry a bible as a prop uttering the words you stand humble in your ways yet your actions show differently. Mayor Thomas, your behavior favors a child that is always seeking approval from his or her parents. Your childish hunger for attention has now resurfaced as an adult in full coloration for all to see. There is no shying away from what appears to be prominently present in your life. Social media, Twitter, Facebook and television are your majestic tools cleverly orchestrated to prove to yourself that you are smart and powerful, however, neither stand true. Those who rise by the media shall certainly be destroyed by the media as time will tell. Your feeble constructs designed to hide your true oddity from the public has failed miserably as most people have begun to see who you truly are.
I’ve heard Councilmen Wallace speak at your swearing-in and wisely stated “You are to others, who you show yourself to be” and many have now seen you without clothes. Your wretched ways and cast of clowns you’ve chosen to surround yourself with shows the true content of your character, which echoes loudly. You have become an affliction on our hearts, a ridged path we must now all walk, a terrible mistake that leaves a mark, but yet I still pray for you. I pray for the city which you said you would to listen to, learn from, and lead and so far you’ve done nothing but glorify one’s own self celebrating a life of deception. I pray for those you lead knowing it is far worse for the fools who follow more than the fool himself.
You are not a leader and you are not ready for the challenges this city faces ahead. You will only be able to fool the people for so long with your media propaganda. I know who you are Mayor Thomas and I can see right through you. You must learn to be true to thy self as it is your only pathway out. I am watching your reactions to this truth embedded in these words I have composed and I see your fears. I am watching.
