People Before Politics Radio Show co-host and Latino Empowerment Columnist Lorraine Lopez tops off the list of Yonkers Heavy Hitters for the year of 2019.
Lorraine – who made history in 1999 as the first Latina to be elected in the Yonkers City Council – topped the Yonkers Insider list that consists of Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, Westchester County Executive, George Latimer, New York State Assemblyman 90th District and Lawyer Nader Sayegh, New York State Senate Majority Leader, 35th District Andrea Stewart Cousins, New York State Senator, 37th District Shelley Mayer, Yonkers City Council President, and Lawyer Mike Khader, Yonkers City Councilwoman 1st District Shanae Williams and Yonkers City Councilwoman Elect 3rd District Tasha Diaz.
Lorraine Lopez who is and has been a longtime power player in Yonkers and Westchester political circles, a dedicated community activist and the voice of the voiceless in her community for years.
Others who made the Yonkers Insiders List of Heavy Hitters in 2019 are Jen Oelkers (Managed Judicial Campaigns in Yonkers and Westchester County), Steven Simpson (Yonkers Rotary), Deputy Chief of Yonkers Police Department Timothy Hodges, Jeffrey Meyer who made sure residents had food in these tough times in Yonkers and Westchester County, Dr. Ammir Rabadi (Physician), Mobetta Perry (Mobetta Project), Brandi Campbell (Community Leader), Yonkers City Clerk Vincent Spano and YCAP under leadership of Brian Harrod.
