Lifelong Democrat Running On The Working Families Party Line

Mount Vernon City Council Candidate Lauren Carter makes her first appearance of Black Westchester’s people Before Politics Radio Show as a candidate to discuss me she is a Democrat running on the Working Families Party line in the General Election.

Lauren S. Carter is a parent, planner, and professional who was born and raised in the City of Mount Vernon, New York.  She is passionate about moving Mount Vernon forward; it is her purpose to help improve the quality of life for all; and she has a plan to get it done. Lauren also served as Deputy City Clerk and feels she has the experience Mount Vernon needs- now more than ever- to move us out of stagnancy and to lift us out of decline. Well versed in the City Charter and in the City Code, Lauren knows how Mount Vernon was organized to operate, says she has ideas on how to improve city operations, and knows the process to get it done. For more information on Lauren Carter visit her website.

Ms. Carter who has been endorsed by former MV City Councilman Jim Jubilee and the Working Families Party, will be running for one of three available City Council seats. Other candidates on the ballot include Danielle Brown, Ed Poteat and Cathlin Gleason (click like to see interview) who are running together as Mount Vernon Forward. Early voting started Saturday, October 23rd. You can vote early until Sunday, October 31. Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd.
