Yonkers — New Rochelle Councilman Jared Rice, the first elected official in Westchester County to endorse Bernie Sanders for POTUS and Katherine Brezler, National Digital Director of People For Bernie will appear on the People Before Politics Radio Show, Sunday, January 17.
Jared Rice, who was sworn in for his second term for New Rochelle City Council and Deputy Mayor for 2016 boldly became the first to endorse Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Presidential Race in Westchester, Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton’s adopted county. Clinton was heavy supported in the region when she ran for New York State Senate and is expected to have supported in a similar fashion in her bid to become the first female President of the United States, but Rice attempts to get Westchester to ‘Feel The BERN.’
Katherine Brezler of White Plains is the National Digital Director for People For Bernie. For the last decade she has been working on education policy improvement projects. Most recently she was part of nation wide organizing for the opt out movement. From early anti-war demonstrations to single payer health care organizing Katherine has worked tirelessly to advocate for the 99% and she joins this team’s leadership to organize a nation wide movement both online and offline. The City of Yonkers educator will be making her first appearance on PBP Radio to educate Westchester resident on what makes Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders her choice for the next President of the United States.
