We often complain about the lyrics in today’s rap music. We often ask why arent more rappers speaking out abut the injustices going. Through out the history of hip-hop here has always been underground movements that don usually makes the pages or TV screens of mainstream media, but there are out there. This month we spotlight a moveent going on in Houston, Texas.
Started by Genesis Blu, a local female rapper who is starting to make some noise. She has helped start a movement known as #StillDreamin featuring 11 Houston emcees illustrating their point of view on the current state of being a person of color in America.
