Weekly Words Of Inspiration By Rev. Stephen Pogue – “Hold Fast to Your Integrity”

“He still holds fast his integrity, although you incited me against him to destroy him without reason.” Job 2:3b (ESV)

Each of us is going to have our share of trials and tribulations as we go through this thing called life.  Each of us is going to have our share of ups and downs, and ins and outs. Each of us is going to have days when we are going to want to throw up our hands and walk away from everything and everyone. There are going to be times when life is not going to be fair. But through it all, we should remember that we do not walk this road alone,  the Lord is with us every step of the way. There are going to be some storms that come into our lives that we are going to feel that we are not able to make it through. There are going to be some situations that cause us to even question God. But no matter how much we may question God, we should never give up on God, because God never gives up on us.

As believers in God, we should have faith that through it all God will make a way for us. Job went through a difficult season of his life, but he trusted God through it all, and never gave up on his commitment to God.

The Scripture reminds us that Job held fast to his integrity, although the enemy incited God against him to destroy him without reason.

I encourage you today to never let go of your integrity no matter what it is you may be facing in your life.  It is not that you did anything to anyone, but because God can trust you to hold on to your commitment to Him. Even when it looks like God has abandoned you, keep holding on. Keep your faith in God even when you have a multiplicity of reasons to give up, and it looks like everything around you is falling apart. Hold on to your integrity and do not allow anything or anyone to shake your faith in God.  Job had plenty of reasons to give up, and plenty of reasons to throw in the towel, but through it all, he held on to his integrity, he trusted God, and God blessed Job for his integrity.

There will be trials and tribulations that will come in my life, there are some things I will have to face that are not my fault. Through it all I am determined to hold to my integrity and faith in God, knowing that He will never abandon me.  Since no matter what it is that I may be facing in my life, I will maintain my integrity in God I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
