“And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.” Isaiah 12:4 (ESV)
Today we pause to celebrate Thanksgiving. Today should be a day where we reflect on the goodness of the Lord in our lives. There should not be any doubt in our minds of how good God has been to us. We may not have an unlimited amount of resources, but we have all of our needs met. The Lord has blessed us with family and friends that are there for us when we need them; He has blessed us with the tangible and un-tangible things, and He has given us life, health and strength. Each of us has so many things to be thankful for, and when we are reminded of those things we should pause and give thanks to the Lord.
The Scripture reminds us: “in that day: give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the peoples, proclaim that His name is exalted.”
I encourage you today to give thanks to the Lord, for all of the wonderful things He has done in your life. Give thanks to the Lord for all of the ways He has made for you, and all of the doors He has opened for you. Give thanks to the Lord always for the many blessings He has poured into your life. Testify of His greatness among your family and friends, and proclaim to all that will hear you that His name is worthy of all of the praise. As you share today with family and friends, remember that the Lord is good to you, and you should give His name thanks.
I am grateful for all of the great blessings that the Lord has placed in my life, and I will give Him thanks, not just today, but always for He is good to me. Since everyday is a day of thanksgiving for me I have no doubt, “It’s My Year To Get My Thing From My God!”
