Greater Centennial To Hold Candlelight Vigil For Domestic Violence Awareness

On Saturday, October 25th, Greater Centennial AME Zion Church in Mount Vernon, will hold a candlelight vigil during it’s Power & Praise, Saturday night service to bring awareness to domestic violence which is a growing issue in the black community. Organized by the Greater Centennial Women’s Ministry Council, the candle vigil titled, ‘Breaking The Silence – Healing Our Community From Domestic Violence’ will include separate men and women workshops beginning at 4:30PM, conducted by trained facilitators.

Greater Centennial AME Zion Church, where Rev. Dr. Stephen W. Pogue serves as pastor, is located at 114 W. 4th Street (corner of So. 8th Avenue) in Mount Vernon. Black Westchester supports and encourages all who are dealing with or knows someone who is dealing with domestic violence to attend.

Power & Praise is Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church’s Saturday evening come as you are worship service, every Saturday evening 7-8:30PM
