Davis Resorts To Political Ploy, Posting Support of Pastors on Facebook

United Black Clergy Outraged By Mayor Davis' Deceitfulness!

davis - black clergy facebook post Mount Vernon Mayor Ernest D. Davis invited the United Black Clergy to City Hall for what they believed was a meeting. A picture of the Black Clergy with Davis around the table in the conference room surfaced on Davis’ Facebook page, Saturday morning with the words, “Pastors United for Ernie Davis to lead Mount Vernon another 4 years.”

Several of Mount Vernon’s pastors became outraged and used by Davis, and spoke openly from their pulpits on Sunday to discredit the post and publicly announce to their congregations that they were in fact not supporting much less endorsing Davis.

Stay tuned to BW for further updates on this developing story, we plan to talk to any of the other pastors who will be willing speak publicly, later today!
