Islip Town Council Candidate Darrin Green Interview

Black Westchester readers might remember Darrin Green as a civil rights activist, former President of the Nassau County Sheriff Guardians Inc. and the President of the Long Island Division of Blacks in Law Enforcement of America Inc., a National Organization of African-American Law Enforcement Professionals. www.bleausa.org. Darrin is now running for Town Council in District 2 of Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State. located in Suffolk County, Long Island. Darrin appeared on Episode 316 of Black Westchester’s People Before Politics Radio, Sunday, September 19, 2021 with Robert ‘Dr. Bob” Baskerville to talk about why he feels he is the candidate you should vote for November 2, 2021 for serve District 2 or the town of Islip Council which consist of Central Islip, North Great River, Islip Terrace, East Islip, Great River, West Sayville, Hauppauge, Oakdale, and Bohemia. Darrin is a tireless community organizer, heavily involved in working in the local neighborhoods to rebuild the core values of family and integrity. Darrin is a mentor for boys, girls, young men and adult men. Most recently, he received the 2017 Grand Marshal & Leadership Award for the 24th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Parade presented by Village of Hempstead & United People Organization, Inc. and in 2017,was awarded the Islip Town Branch NAACP Legacy Award for outstanding personal and professional legacy of excellence for the advancement of all people.
