They say trust your ears less than your eyes, in this case trust both equally when it comes to these high-end quilted Chanel x Monster headphones retailing at $7,200.

Renowned fashion designer Karl Lagerfield & Monster ensured luxury would meet sound with this upscale masterpiece that bears the iconic Chanel Logo. Engineers behind Beats by Dre are culpable for the audio portion of the mashup.
The collaboration sparked a major buzz amongst die-hard audiophiles and luxury junkies after first being unveiled on the Chanel runway Autumn/Winter 2014 show last March. For those of you who fall under the category of both, these are right up your alley!

Since then Fendi, whom Lagerfield has also designed for since 1972 some say early as 1965, has also teamed up with Beats By Dre to create a headphone made of hand stitched Selleria leather. This piece is available in 10 colors, with an exclusive piece made of exotic black crocodile also bearing the legendary Fendi logo. Though a price has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to reach $1300. This is Beats second collaboration with a fashion label, first being Alexander Wang.

One might say LeBron James is solely responsible for the headphone craze after he and his US men’s basketball teammates exited a plane in Bejing in 2008 wearing the Beats headphones. Present day, Apples Beats has a staggering 60% of the market. The wheel has definitely been reinvented!

Although it’s been rumored the Chanel x Monster headphones are available in their boutiques, it has only been seen on a handful of people leaving their inexorable consumers chomping at the bit. Some argue there is no justification for an expense that can feed a small city, but purveyors of luxury goods beg to differ considering these pieces highly collectible. One things for sure, if opulence is the side of the fence you reside on, you will undoubtedly hear no evil with these!

After years of indifference, it appears audiophiles and the fashion set will finally have something to talk about.
