On Wednesday, May 27th, we recieved an email with the subject: Congrats! Local Media Award Winner.
Congratulations on winning an award as part of the Local Media Innovation Awards!
I am ordering your actual awards this week and need to know where you would like them mailed to. Please provide me with the best mailing address for you or your company. We know a lot of people are working from home right now and offices are closed, so we want to make sure the awards get delivered where someone can receive them.
Also, since we cannot deliver the awards to you in person, we are asking that you take a photo of you, your team, or really anything fun and post it using the hashtag #LMAAwardWinner on social media and tag us. We want to be able to celebrate with you all even if it’s at a distance! Also, please email me any photos that you post so LMA can have a copy.
Thanks so much and congratulations again!

Black Westchester Magazine is an online African-American news magazine founded by Damon K. Jones (Publisher) and AJ Woodson (Editor-in-Chief) July 15, 2014 to change the narrative of how Black People were portrayed in the mainstream media. To celebrate the accomplishments of African-Americans, spotlight the unsung heroes in our communities and because news wasn’t trickling down to the Black Communities in Westchester.
Giving you the News With The Black Point Of View, we filled the void and became the voice of the voiceless. Our goal is to educate, uplift and inspire the community and shed a spotlight of police criminality, governmental corruption and the wrongful incarcerated while fighting for criminal justice reform.
Damon and I would like to thank all the supporters, advertisers, readers and subscribers and listeners of the People Before Politics Radio Show (started August 3, 2014) and the Black Westchester Power Hour on WVOX and Facebook Live, we could not have gotten here without all of you.
We promise to continue to deliver the News With The Black Point Of View and give you that Real Talk For The Community.
