BW 1st Annual Toy & Coat Drive

Black Westchester Has Its First Toy & Coat Drive For Displaced Women & Children in Local Westchester County Shelters

Black Westchester held their 1st Annual Toy & Coat Drive, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at The Alamo Bar & Restaurant 166 Gramatan Avenue in Mt Vernon. “Tis’ The Season” to mingle while giving & tasting Cupcake by Cupcake Cuties Boutique over a cocktail or two. Over 100 items were donated including toys, board games, coats, books and a few financial donations as well.

All toys and coats will go to displaced women & children in local Westchester County shelters!

The Toy & Coat Drive was put together by Urban Soul Media Group, Tha Brown Urban Mother Partnership, Black Westchester Magazine, Urban Media, People Before Politics Radio, Cupcake Cutie Boutique, and Black Law Enforcement of America!

Items were donated by Tony Earl Jr. of MADE Transitional Services, Simone Oliver, Banks Wheeler III, Dialy Williams, Edith Williams, Tesha Edwards, Shawyn Patterson-Howard of Yonkers Family YMCA, Priscilla Echi of 2LiveWell.org, Ken Bright of LIFE Progressive Services Group, Inc., Rashad Bilal of The Bilal Group LLC, The Mount Vernon Independence Party, Black Westchester Magazine and People Before Politics Radio and others. We like to thank The Alamo Bar & Restaurant and everyone who supported our first annual toy and coat drive.
