Black Westchester, The January 15, 2021 Digital Issue

Welcome To 2021

Welcome to our January 15, 2021 Issue, the digital version.

As we say goodbye to 2020, a year many of us would like to forget, we welcome A New Year, A New Decade, and A New Presidential Administration which includes our First Female, First African-American and First South Asian Vice President, it cannot help but feel like a moment we have all been waiting for to exhale.

Trump is GONE, well at least out of the White House. In his last days in office, he incited supporters turned Domestic Terrorists to invade the United States Capitol while Congress was in session to certify his successor victory in the November election. COVID has shown no intention of going anywhere any time soon and introduced us to a new strain of the virus while a good portion of the population in the nation, especially persons of color have no intention of taking the vaccine. But we still have a lot to be thankful for.

In our first issue of the new year we dedicated the cover and centerfold Stacey Abrams who after having an election snatched from her, snatch the hold damn state back for the Democrats, turning the state of Georgia Blue and helping the Dems get control of the Senate by igniting persons of color to come out in record number for the run-off election. In this issue we celebrate her and the historic victory of Kamala Harris.

We also address the insurrection at the US Capitol from several angles and introduce our new Health and Wellness section. We would like to take this time to thank all the readers, listeners, supporters, sponsors, contributors, and advertisers for their support in our effort to deliver the “News With The Black Point Of View,” since 2014. Send us your feedback, let us know what you think of this issue. Let us know subjects/topics you would like to see us cover in the future and send your letters to the editor to BlackWestchesterMag@gmail.com.

Make sure you register to vote, then VOTE like you’re life depends of it because it does, this is the most important election of our life and please don’t forget to fill out the 2020 Census!

Peace and Blessings
