Harlem, NY — Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders hosted a “community conversation” at the Apollo Theater in New York City, Saturday with a star-studded guest panel.

Sanders held a town hall packed to overflowing capacity at the world famous Apollo Theatre, Saturday. The event included Harry Belafonte, Erica Garner (daughter of Eric Garner, who was killed by NYPD), former Ohio State Senator Nina Turner and was hosted by Charlamagne Tha God of the morning radio show The Breakfast Club on power 105.1 FM.

Bernie’s messages of income inequality, racial and criminal justice, the struggles and plight of lower and middle-income families, gentrification, the influence of money in politics, a corrupt campaign finance system, rethinking the war on drugs, real family values, rethinking how we educate our citizens, and the struggles of everyday New Yorkers took center-stage as he fielded questions and comments from the 99% who struggle to make a living in the world’s greatest city, New York City.
