sues-r-e1435292727564Mount Vernon – While details are still sketchy and their is actively an investigation going on as we speak, several shots rang out outside or in the proximity of the infamous Adult Entertainment establishment, Sue’s Rendezvous at approximately 2:30 A.M.

A MVPD spokesperson confirmed there was in fact a shooting at the adult entertainment establishment located at 96 Gramatan Avenue. He also confirmed there was an ambulance on the scene and that they are currently investigating the shooting when we called.

A Mount Vernon resident who lives in the August P. Petrillo Building, a Senior affordable housing apartment building, located at 110 N 3rd Avenue contacted Black Westchester at 3:01 A.M. to alert us to the shooting,

“Lots of gunfire on Gramatan Avenue and people screaming about 20-30 minutes ago.,” the resident informed BW that they were awoken by the shots and they could hear people screaming. They informed BW, the ruckus started to quiet down by the time of the phone call. The resident also said to have heard at least seven to eight shots.

The MVPD were unable to confirm with BW if anyone was injured or killed in the shooting, just that there was in fact a shooting at Sue’s and it’s an active crime scene.

Requests to Mayor Richard W. Thomas and Acting Police Commissioner Ronald Fatigate for a quote or statement, Monday morning went unanswered.

Stay tuned to BW for more on this developing story.
