Is Al Roker The New Angry Black Man of NBC?

After the charade of lies of Olympic Swimmer Ryan Lochte, Al Roker told the absolute truth about what many people feel about his action.

One of the swimmers pulled a metal sign off a wall and as they went to leave two armed security guards stopped them, pointed a gun at them in the car and ordered them to pay for the damages that was $50 before they could leave.

Lochte then told his mother that he was robbed. But then his mother reported it to the media. USA Today reported Ileana Lochte told them what had happened to her son and his friends in crime-ridden Rio. Now Lochte is stuck with a lie. This led to a police investigation where the truth was revealed

“He lied to you, he lied to Matt Lauer, he lied to his mom,” Roker said on the “Today” show. “He left his teammates hanging while he skedaddled. There was no robbery; there was no pullover. He lied.”

In our opinion, Roker was right and exact, but according to Page Six, “Today” show executives and on-air talent was not please with the outcome.

“There were several producers and talent who were left trying to explain Al’s over-the-top behavior,” said a source. “Several insiders found themselves wanting to distance themselves from his response.”

“It was a great thing to watch online, but a lot of NBC staff thought that he took it way too far for something that, while it was certainly a legitimate issue and certainly bad behavior by Lochte, outrage to that level just wasn’t justified.”

It’s good to see that Al Roker spoke the truth and called out “White Privilege” for the world to see. Nobody has yet to admit it but that what it is.  If it was anyone of a lesser quality of anchor or less seniority at NBC, they might be looking for a new job.

It’s still too early to tell.

The world is a colorful and interesting one with multiple ethnic groups and colors and customs. Both the bad and the good is manifested in all of us in one way or the other, so we all should have the same opportunity to strive, grow and flourish along with our families and friends and neighbors in order to build better and greater communities and ultimately a better world. It is called “Out Of One People” Do you recognize what country’s Motto this is?
