Black Westchester’s co-founders, Damon K. Jones (Publisher) and AJ Woodson (Editor-In-Chief) join the Mornings With Bob Marrone Show on Hartsdale, NY based 1230 WFAS.
AJ Woodson has been a regular on Marrone’s show for the past four months as a correspondent discussing the latest news in Westchester. Woodson was also added to WFAS Election Day Coverage Panel this past November to help cover the midterm elections. He briefly took a brief hiatus, just before the holiday season, and will rejoin the show in his regular time slot Tuesday mornings at 7:20AM starting February 3rd.
Damon K. Jones, a longtime community activist, joins the WFAS morning show as a correspondent with his own weekly time slot, Wednesday mornings at 8:30AM representing Black Westchester, beginning Wednesday, January 28th. As the Westchester representative of Blacks in Law Enforcement of America, Jones will speak from a law enforcement perspective. Jones is also a newly sworn in Executive Committee member of the White Plains/Greenburgh branch of the NAACP.
BW’s Woodson a veteran journalist and Jones a veteran in law enforcement and politics created Black Westchester, under their muti-media company UrbanSoul Media Group, to be much-needed voice of the black community.
Bob Marrone, the executive director of the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, has strong and diverse background in broadcasting, writing, business and communications, and is as comfortable talking with the Whitehouse correspondent as he is the local mayor. He can discuss issues ranging from the Middle East to Mamaroneck, all with warmth and humor. Now he adds the voices of BW’s Woodson and Jones to his morning talk show that can be heard on 1230 WFAS, 6AM—10AM Weekdays.
AJ and Damon with their lovely co-host Cynthia Turnquest-Jones can be heard weekly on their live internet radio show People Before Politics every Sunday 6-8PM on InTheMixxRadio.com. They also appear occasionally on the syndicated Lisa Wexler Show and the Live With Noel Show on 1230 WFAS.
