A Message From The Editor-In-Chief
AJ Woodson Addresses The Critics
After a few comment and messages I received after posting a few Letters To The Editor, Richard Thomas – Tales of The Scorpion by someone who asked to remain anonymous and This Is Not The Rich Show. Mt. Vernon Belongs To The People by Helena R. Edwards, instead of continuing to respond to everyone individually, I figured I would respond to everyone at once.
First let me address the Letter To The Editor thing, once and for all. A ‘letter to the editor’ is a letter sent to a publication about issues of concern from its readers. Usually, letters are intended for publication. It is not a news brief, news coverage, an article or interview but a letter from a reader who feels they want to share how they feel.
It is the opinion or as I said concerns of the reader(s) that they would like to share. It could be about an article that ran, a concern over something going on or in this case a concern over moves and appointments of the new mayor of Mount Vernon.
Instead of writing a long-winded response, I addressed everyone Sunday on the latest episode of our radio show People Before Politics, so even those with ADHD in this low attention span internet era we live in, you can just watch and hear what I have to say.
As always we invite and encourage feedback and responses from our reader, and this is no different, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions or point of view in the comment section below.
[Quick note I apologize for the mispronunciation of Derickson Lawrence’s name in the video]
