New Rochelle, NY — New Rochelle police have located the individual believed to be responsible for making threats against Schools Superintendent Dr. Corey Reynolds, according to reports from News 12 Westchester.
The development comes after heightened concern earlier this week when the same individual allegedly made renewed contact with the school district, prompting an increased police presence across multiple schools.
Authorities confirmed the original threat was made several weeks ago and was directed at the superintendent personally, not at students or school staff.
However, when the individual reportedly reached out again with a direct threat, law enforcement responded by increasing security throughout the district as a precaution.
Police have not yet released:
- The identity of the individual
- A motive behind the threat
- Whether any charges have been filed
At this time, officials continue to emphasize that there is no known active threat to students or school buildings, but say safety measures remain in place while the investigation continues.
This is a developing story.
Black Westchester will continue to follow this story as more details are released.
