On Saturday, October 24, 2015, NewFlex Youth Programs, Inc., in Mt. Vernon, NY, will host its annual Hair Show Princess Pageant fundraiser. This year’s theme is ‘Role Models Runway’.

The Hair Show Princess Pageant is a competition among young ladies from various communities, who are judged based on their display of beauty, poise, talent and personal platforms as to why they should be given the title of ‘Little Miss Hair Princess’. The array of hairstyles and fashion is a pleasure and exhibits community creativity and art!

The hair show pageant also creates a large networking opportunity for college student competitors, local businesses, artists, models, hair salons and barber shops in the Westchester Community. The talents, crafts and artistry will be displayed through performance segments and vendor exhibitions.

NewFlex Hoops, Inc. dba NewFlex Youth Programs, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, which develops youth in sports, while simultaneously building character, self-esteem, and leaders, through various programs. Its annual Hair Show Princess Pageant is intended to advance the organization’s mission by exposing youth to various programs and mentoring opportunities that will build self-esteem and teach them to love being who they are.

The event will take place at the Doles Center, 250 So. 6th Avenue, Mt. Vernon, NY. The evening will begin with workshops at 5 pm, followed by a cocktail hour at 6 pm and culminated by the Hair Show Princess Pageant at 7 pm sharp. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Online registration is strongly encouraged.
