MV Chambers of Commerce 2015 Annual Gala & Award Dinner

Bronxville — The Mount Vernon Chambers of Commerce honored several stakeholders and business owners, Thursday, December 3 at their annual Christmas Gala held at the Bronxville Field Club, located at 40 Locust Lane. The festive gala was attended by many of Mount Vernon’s elected officials, community leaders, business leaders and city employees, including Mayor Ernest D. Davis, Mayor-Elect Richard Thomas, Councilpersons Marcus Griffith, Yuhanna Edwards and Roberta Apuzzo, Councilman-Elect Andre Wallace, Mount Vernon Democratic Chairman Reginald Lafayette, and various city commissioners and stakeholders. Also in attendance were various representatives from local businesses including American Christmas, Trusco Building Supplies, Con Ed, CMS Bank, Kensworth Consulting, Reymen Jewelers, The Mount Vernon Inquirer, The Future Society, Hollingsworth Real Estate Group, Black Westchester Magazine and many more.

Awards Honorees Included:
Community Service Award – Fleetwood Neighborhood Association
Years of Service Award – Bruce L. Bozeman Esq., Ted D’Amore and Karen D. Thomas
Developer of the Year Award – Rella Fogliano
Mount Vernon Media Award – Joseph Parisi
Entrepreneur of the Year Award – Groovey Lew
Business of The Year Award – Graceland Florist (527 Gramatan Avenue)
Businessman of the Year Award – Kenneth Plummer
Lifetime Achievement Award – Ernest D. Davis

“It always great when you can showcase and honor people in our business Community,” MV Chambers of Commerce President Dwayne Brown tells BW. “Mount Vernon is a great city to do business in and the people we honored tonight proved that. Mount Vernon is open for business and the Chamber of Commerce is excited about the future.”
